Now that "Culture Shocked" has been wrapped up, it's time to say "See you in a month" to our favorite Ugos. But don't worry! When they return, not only will they have a Season Finale ready, but once again, the show is being revamped. Keep reading to find out more. Season 2 Finale "Young Hearts"The season 2 finale is titled "Young Hearts" and will premiere, unfortunately later than intended, June 8th, 2018. The episode's topic is about Youth Relationships and experiencing love at a young age. I hope you'll enjoy it! What is Season 3 going to revamp?Season 3 is bringing a lot of changes internally, and externally to the entire OmegaUgo brand itself.
Character Designs & Way More Guests - While they'll still keep the same outfits and colors more or less, they'll be more designs of the characters which will allow me to do more things with them. Culture Shocked was a huge challenge because of it. Season Two also didn't have as many characters. But Season 3 will have almost lots of new faces. Types of Episodes - This season had an abundance of specials, and even a movie. Season 3 however will be taking this a little easier. We have one special planned, and one episode that I haven't decided on yet. I feel like Season One did a lot of things right with it's simplicity, and the episodes were more relate able. as well. This will hopefully be the same case for Season 3 as well. I want to mix the stories and plots of Season Two with the humor and ability to relate of Season One. There'll also be one episode every month, totaling about 12 or so episodes. The best way to see exactly what I mean is by watching the new episodes for Season Three Other Videos & Content - The channel is also going to be exposed to many more things besides the normal Ugo episodes. While those will still be the main focus of it, I want to do smaller, other videos about topics as well to keep viewers engaged while Ugo episodes are made. These include: IRL Video Rants and Essays about the more controversial stuff that isn't as easy to do in a normal episode, fully-animated projects and shorts, possible vlogs when necessary, and the occasional spontaneous live-stream where I'll play a game or two with viewers, or do a stream while making an episode. (Those gaming streams will be rare though, my focus is animation and OmegaUgo, so that will be done first) I'm also considering speed-art, and other things as well. Just ways for people to get to know the person behind all these videos. That's all the updates for now! More information on the upcoming Channel Update will be revealed later on! Presenting the very first OmegaUgo MovieWhat is Happening?OmegaUgo has been teasing a movie in several episodes since the beginning and now it's happening. This March, Ugo and his friends are traveling to Nigeria in the very first OmegaUgo film, "Culture Shocked". This movie will, as implied, address culture in the World of Ugo, along with other themes such as racism, racial stereotypes and more. This event is still counted in the overall story of the show and takes place right after "Bus Ride Shenanigans" when it comes out MARCH, 30TH 2018 at 8pm An OmegaUgo Movie? What does that mean?It won't be in theaters, or anything like that. It's similar in format to like a "Disney Channel Original Movie". This OmegaUgo event will still be viewable on YouTube like any other episode. The only difference is that there won't be much narration, it will be completely story-driven, and be longer in length. Although canon in the main "Universe", this is not an episode of Ugo. It's an actual movie. Plot? After Ugo is invited by his cousin to visit Nigeria to help with an organization striving to better the lives and state of the country, he accepts, and he and his friends travel there. While they're there, they learn about the Country's history, culture, and people. But when things get heated between our friends, it leads to turmoil, and they soon find out that somebody is yearning for a revolution, and that somebody will do anything they can, in this case to our friends, in order to get power while they have the chance. Release?Culture Shocked, will be released on March 30th, 2018 at 8pmET Canon?Like previously mentioned, this event is NOT, an episode. It is NOT special episode. It's a film. HOWEVER, the events and plots in the film are still canon. As normal, the events take place right after "Bus Ride Shenanigans" and right before the episode releasing after the film. What's the difference from this Movie, and Normal Episodes, in terms of the actual content? The event is entirely character interaction. No narration, nothing. The theme of the episode, like other Special Episodes, won't be as obvious, but this time, the "episode" is much longer.
The event is going to be more maturer than normal episodes. Instead of being deep in terms of personally, it goes into more controversial territory, and with that, the event will appeal more to the target demographic of teens and young adults and those older, rather than children. That's the best I can describe it without spoiling everything. OmegaUgo: "Culture Shocked" - The Movie, releases MARCH 30TH, 2018, @ normal time: 8PMEST (7pmCentral, 5pmPacific) OmegaUgo Season 2 is Almost Halfway, with the last first half episode to be released in January12/13/2017 Time sure does fly! Welcome back everyone! I wanted to announce a few things regarding OmegaUgo in early 2018. Although one might be more disappointing than the others, I recommend you keep reading! 1. OmegaUgo Mid-SeasonWe are quickly approaching the halfway point and climax of OmegaUgo Season 2. In fact, Season 2B, begins this March, but more on that later. Following, "Another Last Minute Christmas Video", OmegaUgo has another cool-down episode in January of 2018, which will be the last episode of Season 2A. Although this is just a way to separate the episodes, Season 2, is still one big season. The only reason I use letters in this case is because the season is reaching it's midpoint, and... 2. OmegaUgo 2018 BreakAs a kiddo still in school, along with the cast, OmegaUgo will be taking February 2018 off to work on finishing up and gathering all my thoughts for the remainder of the season. Especially after the two holiday specials we did towards the end of the year. I'll still remain active here, and on all of my social media, but we could all use a break from recording, reading, illustrating and more. And it's for a good cause 3. (And Most Importantly) BIG OMEGAUGO PROJECT COMING IN 2018The real reason we're taking a break is to work on a big project coming early 2018. I cannot release details on anything. Whether it's the title, topic, episode format, cast, nope. Nothing. It's too early. However, just know that we are all planning something. And before we pull it off, we need to rest. However, I can say that this is the climax of the season, and is the actual middle of it. However, OmegaUgo episodes following will still be important to the plot, all the way up into June, when the season ends.
That's all I have to announce for today! Thanks for reading! Let's get one thing out of the way: The final videos of OmegaUgo's 2017 season are here! Coming tomorrow, is Unique Names Redux, the new spin on the original pilot episode that came out one year and a week ago, and Another Last Minute Christmas Video, headed for Christmas Eve, which brings an entirely new tale around the theme of Christmas. And no. I'm no where near running out of ideas. UNIQUE NAMES REDUX:Taking place shortly after a year of the original, Ugo and Brynn head back to the locations and scenarios that introduces us to them. As Ugo said in "Origins of Opaque", your name is the first thing someone needs to know about you. And we're revisiting the importance of it. This is not a complete remake however, as it only cleans up a few scenarios and adds ideas. While the introduction remains familiar, its a whole new coat of paint. And the episode although has a new theme, adds to it in a way that couldn't have been appreciated as well with Season One's style. Mostly, the attention is towards our Christmas special, but don't miss this extension to Unique Names coming tomorrow night at 8pm ET! ANOTHER LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS VIDEO:Now before I get into details, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE think we're running out of episode ideas, or that this episode is just filler. It isn't. This episode takes all of my experience from 2017 and turns them into a special that just so happens to be fore my favorite Holiday. This episode, is the LONGEST, BIGGEST, MOST IMPORTANT, MOST INFLUENTIAL VIDEO OF 2017. In fact, I'd say this and "Creativity" are probably the two biggest. There's so much important to Season Two's plot that happens in this episode. And while we got brief foreshadowing in our Halloween outing, it wont be as clear as it is here. Also, we've been waiting to make another Christmas special since the original was made. So this is anything but filler. PLOT: This is the only place that in November you'll find me talking about this episode's plot so listen closely. As far as many know, all that's happening is that the Ugo's are spending Christmas together, and turmoil will come from it. Well here's where things connect. Remember last year, where Brynn ended the episode with asking whether or not Santa was real? Little did anyone know that this was the entire premise, of this episode. In fact, these episodes aren't very similar. This episode is entirely new with only a few connections between the two. But anyway the plot: So basically the premise is that the Ugos (Ugonna, Brynn, Hannah, Gabe, Maya, Abraham and newcomer, Lanie) are all spending Christmas together under one roof in one house. And while the festivities carry on, Brynn sets out to find out whether or not Santa is real, and her curiosity leads to a huge argument, splitting everyone down the middle. The believers and Non-believers. After realizing what she had done, Brynn must figure out a way to not only save her friendships, but Christmas itself. Meanwhile, Hannah and Ugonna legitimately team up to figure out what they're getting for Christmas, after discovering that Abraham is getting them a "large gift". Along with this, this is the first episode where we see the world that the Ugo's live in. We see the town, their house, their neighborhood, and we also see how they interact when there isn't a normal video plot playing out. This is them on a completely average day, just that it's leading up to Christmas. Now we won't see much of this, unless it's a movie, or a special episode. The videos will return to their white-backdrop format as normal, with any events or any plot not overtaking it. That was one issue I had making the original Christmas special. By the time I had only made a couple of videos, and there was no defining formula. I was afraid that making a Christmas special so early would mess up the formula, which was exactly what happened (If you watch the original Unique Names, and Ugo v Sports, you'll notice a difference) but now a year later I've perfected the formula, and I don't want this to happen again as it would mean starting over (The formula making, not the show), which is why we won't be seeing much of the world they live in, unless it's neccesary or a special episode. (The normal formula including narration, white backgrounds, and things you'd find in a normal regular episode) Alright! There's your final episodes of 2017!Be sure to catch "Unique Names Redux" on November 24th, 2017 at 8pmET, and "Another Last Minute Christmas Video" exactly one month later at the same time.
More information regarding the final episodes of OmegaUgo for 2017Here we are, November. Sorry for the inactivity lately, "Tales from an Undead Brynnbo" has kept me very busy, and immediately after it I must work on the last two videos of 2017. Tales from an Undead Brynnbo, had a successful premiere, and thank you to everybody who watched OmegaUgo Season 2's return. The episode also marks as OmegaUgo's first episode in Full HD since "A Last Minute Christmas Video" which although is minor, is something I've wanted since I've been making these videos. Now then, for the new stuff: November Video: "Unique Names Redux"Grab your Nametags and IDs! "Unique Names Redux" comes shortly after the One Year Anniversary of the OmegaUgo pilot, "Unique Names", and with it, Ugo and Brynn continue the argument that started it all. It's not a complete remake, as it's more of a continuation with a few of the scenes being redone in the crisp 1080p and higher quality of Season 2's artstyle, writing, and overall plot-like style. The episode also is the first "cool-down" episode of season 2. These episodes include episodes as a "peace time" between the bigger releases. As it's following the OmegaUgo Halloween special, and is followed by another Christmas special as well. Other videos in this category include "Band Geeks" "Teachers" and "Winter Pet Peeves" from Season One. OmegaUgo is going back to 2016 as way to end 2017, with not one, but two throw back episodes. While "UNR" is more of a sequel or "throwback" than this year's Christmas special (Which only shares a creative title, and a little bit of plot from its predecessor) it will still be enjoyable, even as a cool-down episode. It's also important you keep in mind that these sequels to past episodes have always been an idea of mine, from the beginning, especially for the upcoming Christmas special, I knew I wanted to do a sequel for both of these. "Unique Names Redux" being for fixing some of the problems I had with original pilot I wrote, but not a complete remake in order to keep "respect" for its original video, while my bigger project next month has been an idea since we did it's original, and this has a complete plot, with only a minor connection to it's original version. So no, I'm not "running out of ideas" December Video: (Episode Name Will Be Revealed Later)So as it's not December, and this is the first time I've teased a video before the one before it was going to come out, and this is because this is the video to end of all 2017 with a bang. Me, and my friends who play their own Ugo-personas, have wanted to do this video since we did the original video. And even while working on that one, I knew that I was making a sequel a year later. I'm not releasing any information on plot, episode name, or anything until December. But just know that this will be big. As for the rest of Season 2, and beyond, I have my plans for all of it. Season One really focused on Ugo throughout, from episode one, to "Creativity" it was all about him, and while that's the point of the show, Ugo in season 2 does take a step back, as this time I want to give more characteristics to his friends in addition with screen time. While our titular character will definitely still shine, there will be times where he steps back in Season Two, like in "Video Game Addicts" or "Tales from an Undead Brynnbo".
Speaking of which, that Halloween special really put Season Two's storyline really into play. As not only did it foreshadow events that would come in Season Two, and beyond (uhh... like Season Three) but it gives a taste of what we'll be getting more of. Other character development. I want to make all of the characters including guests (like Maya or Abraham) more dynamic, and one character I'm really focusing on is Brynn. The overall story of Season Two heavily focuses on Brynn. Maya even mentions that there's something more that's going on within her, and although she doesn't know, she will soon... Well, we all will. But that'll be for awhile ;) Either way though, I hope you enjoy the next episodes of OmegaUgo! -ugonna No Episode for the Month of SeptemberI just announced on my twitter, that I will not be releasing any episode this month, as I've decided to push back that episode for 2018. However I have legitimate reasons as well.
This entire summer, I didn't get much of a break. I had three videos that I put huge amounts of effort into come out monthly. "Creativity" "Origins of Opaque" and "Video Game Addicts". I accomplished every goal I made for myself this summer, and I would like to relax for a bit. Another reason is that with my new schedule regarding getting educated, and having time, I want to adapt to how things will be. As well as, I want to take this month to smooth out my ideas for season 2. Especially the episode coming in October, which will be something new I'm trying, but have always wanted to do. 2017, is ending with big projects, and 2018 will be picking that up as well. I refuse to reveal anything regarding Season 2-2018, but I will say that once the year starts, there are a lot of big projects that I'm doing, and it's not starting out slow like 2017 did (on purpose of course, the Christmas video tired us all out). I want to make sure 2017 ends in the best way possible. So trust me when I say that this mini-hiatus is worth it. Trust me. -Ugo Next OmegaUgo episode titled "Video Game Addicts"I'd like to say that Origins of Opaque came out very well. And I'm glad many people enjoyed the new look and feel as I was thinking it may not be well received, but luckily it was.
I don't want to say too much, as I only want to reveal minimal information right now, but "Video Game Addicts" will be the next episode of OmegaUgo, and the final episode of 2017's Summer. The video will again be more plot based, but there will be memories here and there. Similar to how Origins of Opaque was nearly completely memories and not as much plot, as the point was to tell they story of the channel. However, I think the best examples of this new plot and episode format will come in October and December. And a lot in 2018. "Video Game Addicts" as you probably guessed is about our shared love for gaming. More information will come soon. Just 2 more "sleeps" until Opaque's big day. But before we go into detail on the coming episode. Let's look back on what's making the big changes of season 2 so important.
I'm talking about "Creativity". The season one finale of OmegaUgo ended with the urge to full express yourself, 100% despite the judgement you will face. After such an ending, it was almost a little disappointing, to see a more "light" type of episode to return for Season 2. But actually, that was the plan all along, and in fact, "Origins of Opaque" originally wasn't even supposed to be the premiere for season 2. The episode that had been sort of thought about, was moved later into the season which is also light. In fact, it won't be until 2018 where we see a more deep video. Even though "Origins" isn't deep, the catchphrase for the finale, "The World of Ugo Changes Forever" is still very present. The characters are a lot more developed, and there's more plot and stories among them this time around, instead of just story telling like we got in season one. The big changes of season 2 are partially related to the episode. Such as the change in outfits, and more developed personalities as well. In fact, listening to the audio for "Origins" we've all made our characters sound a little older than we last heard them. This is good for the show though. These changes make them more human and more interesting. Making Season 2 a big deal because no other episode was more relatable or more human than "Creativity". Even though we won't be getting another episode like that for awhile, after seeing an episode like that, the changes and more intense topics of season 2, along with a more detailed art style, sounds very intriguing. Especially as the writing is being taken more seriously now. Origins of Opaque, may not be the best example for these changes, but it's still going to be a good episode for everyone to watch. No matter how into season you were. The OmegaUgo Origin episode comes out on July 24th, 2017 at 8pmET celebrating the YouTube page's third anniversary since originally being created. July Goodies are finally here!! Along with that, the website got a few changes as well. We're two weeks away from "Origins of Opaque" and soon the parties and hype train will begin!
July Goodies, a way to ease the wait until season 2, will come out daily, and will give BTS fun facts into the creation of season one episodes! They will be different than the Fun Facts that are already on here, and will give you a new way to look at Season One of OmegaUgo! July Goodies will be put across all OmegaUgo social media. Twitter will be the first to get them, followed by the updates here. However, as all the Goodies will be taken down, following the release of the Origins of Opaque, they will remain on this site, a long with the OmegaUgo Third Anniversary page, up until the release of Season 2 Episode 2 in late August. So you can expect the goodies to be here for a month before being gone permanently. The OmegaUgo Third Anniversary page will also recieve a major update following this post going live. Again the site will now be updated regularly, and so will this News page as well. That's all from me, see you guys and gals on the 24th, when The OmegaUgo Origin Episode releases at 8pm ET (7pmCT) |
