About OmegaUgo
OmegaUgo is a online YouTube, free-to-watch web-cartoon for all ages. Our show started in November of 2016 and has been growing ever since.
OmegaUgo takes place in the "World of Ugo", a universe quite like ours. The show follows five main characters: Ugo, Brynn, Gabe and Hannah as they go about their lives, growing up and experiencing the world around them. The show covers topics and opinions often controversial, and views on society straight from there perspective. Along with the main cast, Ugo and his friends are often joined by supporting characters significant to every episode's plot. Whether its explaining the true meaning of Christmas, or shipping celebrities. |
OmegaUgo has something for everybody, and isn't your average cartoon. For the little ones, you have humor, and fun plots. For teens, you have relatable situations and scenarios, that the characters are placed in. For adults you have morals and lessons, some often covering very controversial topics in society that aren't as comprehensible to younger audiences. Although the targeted demographic is teens and young adults, anybody can enjoy OmegaUgo regardless of age.
OmegaUgo, created, written and illustrated by Ugonna Obiagwu has been growing into something truly more than your average cartoon. OmegaUgo doesn't hold back. It doesn't try and implement typical rules of media such as "Don't say this, its too controversial". OmegaUgo says what is needed to be said, and does what is needed to be done. The lessons and topics discussed all have greater meaning. Whether its including a Muslim in a Christmas themed video, breaking the insecurities of having a preferred music genre, or the importance of expressing yourself.
OmegaUgo breaks the barriers of traditional media such as "That's too controversial to put in". It covers topics in a way that's relatable, funny, and will make you want to take time thinking more about them. OmegaUgo takes several REAL people's perspectives in our society, and focuses on their views. Although each episode is scripted, many personality traits, opinions, stories and lines are based off of the real live people that portray these characters, by the same name. OmegaUgo doesn't hold back. But instead screams "Hey! We need to focus our attention to this!" while being creative and innovative. What we have seen is just the beginning.

Questions:
Q: When do new episodes come out?
A: The final Friday of every month.
Q: What Software/Equipment does the show use?
A: Every episode is made within many different parts of software, but mainly, Season 2 and beyond will be produced and illustrated in Paint Tool Sai, while Season 1 was more complicated, as many images were made in Adobe Illustrator iOS. Final edits for the video itself are made in Windows Movie Maker. Audio (which we're hoping to improve down the road) is different for every character.
Q: What is OmegaUgo's targeted demographic?
A: OmegaUgo's targeted demographic is teens and young adult (ages 12-20+) but like previously mentioned, there is something for everyone to enjoy in every episode. I can also assure you that the content in OmegaUgo is very appropriate. Personally, I'd give it a PG rating, but you won't be finding any rude language, or humor. It's all very appropriate.
Q: What goes into decision into what the next episode is about?
A: When Season 3 began (July 2018) I made it a mission to make episodes more relatable, and gradually more serious and meaningful as the show continued to grow. I try to form episodes off common themes and lessons I believe should be shared, and various topics that several can also relate to and find interesting.
Q: Do you accept Donations?
A: As of right now, no. I don't do YouTube for a living, meaning that I have less of a need to invest much more money into equipment. I feel money like that could be better used for charitable purposes. But I am eager to develop professionally with the help of mentors to advise me along my journey.
